INTRODUCING FLASH
8 1/2 year old (approx.) Male 💥💥Available for FOSTER or FOSTER TO ADOPT or ADOPTION. Currently in foster in London.
Flash is a handsome, medium sized male (about 20kgs) who has been in his current home for over five years. Sadly, the personal circumstances of his owner have changed and we need to find a new home for Flash.
He is an even tempered, endearing dog. He is loving and loyal to the people he knows, and is eager to please. He is fully housetrained and sleeps fine through the night.
Flash is calm and quiet in the garden (he loves the garden!) and he enjoys his walks. He reacts well to most dogs on walks, but occasionally some strange dogs will irritate him (like Black Labradors) and he won’t react well to them. He is fine if restrained. He will bark at cats he sees, but won’t try to go for them.
He travels well in the car. He knows his basic commands and is responsive to treats. He has no food aggression. He hates fireworks. He has strong dog/countryside instincts. His recall is not great, and needs further work.
To his trusted humans, Flash is very affectionate and loves attention. He loves to sit with his people. He is fine to be left alone for 4 hours or so. He can be occasionally unreliable with people he doesn’t take to, so it would be best if he is not rehomed with young children.
If you would like to foster Flash, and understand the commitment you are making when you take on a rescue dog, please complete the form using the link below, or ask one of our volunteers and they will be happy to help.😇😇
The Responsible Dog Rescue provides incredible support to all fosters and new adopters. We are a community, and we help each other. We have behaviour experts, and lots of experienced fosterers, on hand to help you.
We always advise slow and supervised introductions to other pets, and of course, always have safe introductions to children. For fostering dogs, all children in the household must be at least 8 years old, though we would prefer slightly older children (12+) for Flash. Direct access to a private, secure garden is required.
