INTRODUCING VIOLET

9 month old (approx.) Female 💥💥Available for ADOPTION💥💥Currently in foster in West Sussex

Violet is a gorgeous girl, on the lanky side of medium (currently 18kgs). She is a very sweet and gentle dog, who is great with other dogs. She has no sign of a prey drive, so it is likely that she could live with dog savvy cats, given slow and careful introductions. (She was with cats in Romania).

She is fully housetrained and sleeps fine at night. She walks well on a lead. She likes to potter around and play with a toy or chew. She only barks occasionally, for a specific reason. Overall, her foster describes her as a calm and chilled girl.

Violet has a slightly nervous disposition, but this is improving daily and the foster expects that she will continue to grow in confidence. Around new people, she is a bit cautious, but she is happy to be in their presence as long as she is ignored and left to get on with things.

She has been introduced to children and was cautious at first, then intrigued/interested. We are confident that she can live with children. She is very friendly and polite to new dogs she meets. She is fine travelling in a car. She has learned some basic commands and her recall is coming along. She is responsive to training treats.

Violet can be left for a few hours with no issue, and she has no destructive behaviours. When she trusts you, she is very affectionate and loves strokes and fuss.

The Responsible Dog Rescue provides incredible support to all fosters and new adopters. We are a community, and we help each other. We have behaviour experts, and lots of experienced fosterers, on hand to help you.

We always advise slow and supervised introductions to other pets, and of course, always have safe introductions to children. For adopting dogs, all children in the household must be at least 5 years old. Direct access to a private, secure garden is required.
