INTRODUCING CARRY
Carry is two and a half years old, medium sized (about 21kgs) 💥💥Available for FOSTER to ADOPT, or ADOPTION💥💥Currently in Southport, PR9.
Carry is a gorgeous girl who has had some bad luck – she had found her permanent adoption home (along with her sister, Connie), and was getting only brilliantly, but then the personal circumstances of their adopter changed and she could no longer look after them. So Carry is at our assessment kennels in Southport, and she is now ready to be adopted.
Carry would like to be in the only dog in the household – she is not keen on sharing her space or her things with other dogs. She also has signs of prey drive, so should not be rehomed with cats. She is good with children. Carry absolutely adores people – she is really happy when surrounded by humans, and she will work the room for cuddles and affection. She is an energetic, enthusiastic dog who lets off steam with impressive zoomies! She loves toys, and playing, and is eager to please. However, she also enjoys her own company and can be quite independent, taking herself off to amuse herself with toys.
She is a very clever dog, and she knows lots of commands and tricks. She is very responsive to treats. Although she is not thrilled with her harness, once it is on, she is absolutely delighted to go on walks, and she is a pleasure to walk.
Carry is not 100% fully housetrained (purely due to the kennel environment – she was fully housetrained when in her previous adoption home) and she sleeps fine through the night. She can be a little hesitant when getting into the car, but once she is in, she is fine. Her new owner needs to work with her on further socialisation.
If you would like to foster to adopt, or adopt Carry, and understand the commitment you are making when you take on a rescue dog, please complete the form using the link below, or ask one of our volunteers and they will be happy to help.😇😇
The Responsible Dog Rescue provides incredible support to all fosters and new adopters. We are a community, and we help each other. We have behaviour experts, and lots of experienced fosterers, on hand to help you.
We always advise slow and supervised introductions to other pets, and of course, always have safe introductions to children. For adopting dogs, all children in the household must be at least 5 years old. Direct access to a private, secure garden is preferred, though we will consider homes without a garden for Carry.
